50 percent of applicants to Oakland City University were admitted for fall 2018

At Oakland City University, 83 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Oakland City enrolled 1,419 students in fall 2018, including 1,231 in undergraduate and 188 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

76 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 19 percent are residents of other states. 5 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (77 percent) and Black or African American (4 percent).

The school admitted 50 percent of the 1,010 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
