95 percent of applicants to the University of Southern Indiana were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Southern Indiana, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Evansville enrolled 10,986 students in fall 2018, including 9,528 in undergraduate and 1,458 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

84 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 16 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (86 percent) and Black or African American (4 percent).

The school admitted 95 percent of the 4,449 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 39 percent enrolled.
