Cost of college went up for all students at Oakland City University

Tuition and fees rose 1.3 percent for 2018-19 at Oakland City University, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Indiana students paid $24,000 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $300 more than the $23,700 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 98 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.1 million and 62 students took out student loans totaling more than $417,164.

Including all undergraduates (1,419), 397 students used grants or scholarships totaling $6.8 million, and 268 students took out $2 million in federal student loans.
