OCU Women's Basketball 2022 Class: Erin Whitehead
The Oakland City University Mighty Oaks women's basketball team has added six to their roster for the upcoming 2022-2023 basketball season. Head coach FahKara Hawkins is excited to announce the signing of Erin Whitehead.
Whitehead is a 5'10" forward from Reynoldsburg, Ohio. She arrives in Oakland City from West Virginia State University in the NCAA Division II. She helped lead WVSU to a 18-11 record last year. She led the team in blocks, was third in total rebounds and fourth in offensive rebounds. She attended high school at Pickerington Central High School in Ohio. She helped lead the team to a record of 28-2 her senior year.
Coach Hawkins says, "Erin is an athletic forward who increases our depth in the front court. She rebounds the ball really well and is going to allow us to wreak havoc defensively. We are very excited for what Erin brings us and are glad to have her on our side."
