OCU Men's Cross Country Picked to Finish 9th in RSC

The 2022 River States Conference Men's Cross Country Coaches' Preseason Poll predicts Midway (Ky.) University in first place this year. The Eagles won the RSC Championship in 2021, their first title in program history. 

Midway topped the voting this preason, which was done by the RSC head coaches. The Eagles earned 84 total votes and seven of the available 10 first-place votes. 

Indiana University Kokomo will host this year's championship, and the Cougars came in second in the poll. IU Kokomo had 79 total votes. 

Point Park (Pa.) University was picked third with 69 points and received a first-place vote. The Pioneers were fourth in the conference last year.

University of Rio Grande (Ohio) was predicted fourth with 68 points and earned a first-place nod as well. IU Kokomo and Rio Grande were just one point behind Midway in last year's championship.

The top half of the poll rounded out with St. Mary-of-the-Woods (Ind.) chosen fifth with 58 points and Ohio Christian University in sixth with 56 points. The Trailblazers made it four different schools getting a first-place vote.

The rest of the poll had Indiana University East, Alice Lloyd (Ky.) College, Oakland City (Ind.) University, Brescia (Ky.) University and WVU Tech.

The 2022 RSC Cross Country Championships will be Nov. 5 at IU Kokomo. See below for the complete preseason poll.
