WASHINGTON – On May 29, 2023, U.S. Representative Larry Bucshon, M.D. (R-Ind.-08), a veteran of the Navy Reserve, released the following statement honoring America’s fallen heroes in observance of Memorial Day:
“This Memorial Day, we remember those heroes who courageously gave their lives in service to our great nation. Our thoughts must also be with the families of these brave men and women because they, in the words of President Lincoln, have ‘laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.’ It is because of the service and sacrifice of these heroes that the United States has remained a pinnacle of freedom for generations. Today, I join the entire country in honoring our fallen nation’s heroes,” said Dr. Bucshon.
