FOIA Request to University of Southern Indiana regarding Chinese National students on June 16, 2025.
A Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request was submitted to the University of Southern Indiana by SW Indiana News on June 16, 2025. The request seeks detailed information about Chinese National students enrolled at the university under the Indiana Access to Public Records Act § 5-14-3-1 et seq.

The second request seeks documents or lists showing all current Chinese National students along with details about scholarships they receive, including the amount and source of each scholarship. Additionally, if not covered in the second request, the third request specifically asks for a list of recipients of scholarships affiliated with the Chinese Scholarship Council.
Furthermore, the fourth request calls for any policies or procedures describing how the university monitors students, including Chinese Nationals, to protect its Intellectual Property and other confidential information.
