2021 has 4.7% of Vanderburgh County residents unemployed

Vanderburgh County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.7% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 4,296 people out of the 179,695 living in Vanderburgh County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Vanderburgh County has decreased compared to the 5% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Vanderburgh County was nearly equal to the statewide unemployment rate of 4.7%.

Of the 87,902 people who had a job during that time, 17 were employed in the Armed Forces and 87,885 belonged to the civilian labor force.
